Course overview
This Course is to improve the skills and knowledge of learners, and thus enabling them to effectively and efficiently complete specific tasks. Learners are to attend training workshops/sessions according to SAQA requirements as well as specified by their organization. These workshops/sessions are presented, and conducted by a qualified facilitator.
What will i learn?
- The work area is set up and maintained to meet legal, hygiene and treatment requirements.
- Consultation techniques are used to determine the client's treatment plan.
- A written and signed consent is obtained prior to carrying out the treatment from the client or parent/guardian if the client is a minor.
- Possible contra-actions resulting from lash and brow treatments are explained to determine ways on how to deal with them.
- Actions to be taken in an event when tint adhesives or solvent enters the client's eye are described in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
- A client is consulted to identify any contra-indications to the treatments for recording purposes in order to take any necessary action.
- Clients are encouraged to ask questions in order to clarify any points.
- A sensitivity test on a suitable area of the client's skin is performed according to manufacturers' instructions and organizational requirements and records the results.
- Client advice is provided without reference to a specific medical condition and without causing undue alarm and concern.
- The treatment plan that is acceptable to the client is explained and agreed upon in order to sign a consent form.
