Opportunity:

  • Becoming a host site for the youth – to gain quality work experience for 12 months from 1 September 2022.
  • The host site must be a safe working environment with a designated Supervisor you will mentor the youth daily.
  • Youth@worK to employ and pay salaries of the youth for the 12 month YES programme.
  • Salary minimum wage – R4020 gross.
  • Host site to absorb the placed youth into permanent, full-time employment at salary of minimum wage (R4020) or higher at the end of the programme- to be precise 1 day of the Month 13.
  • Host site to commit in writing to host the youth and sign MOU comply to funder’s requirements.
  • Host site must be a registered company/organisation.

Requirements:

  • Age 18-28 years old
  • Unemployed Youth – sign a customised affidavit
  • Reside in East London – BCM
  • Must be South African Citizen & meet BBEE criteria
  • Must have not participated in YES program before – Eligibility check will be conduct
  • Youth may not be related/family member to anyone in the host site
  • Youth must be retained for 12 months
