Course overview
This course is to improve the skills and knowledge of learners, and thus enabling them to effectively and efficiently complete specific tasks. Learners are to attend training workshops/sessions according to SAQA requirements as well as specified by their organization. These workshops/sessions are presented, and conducted by a qualified facilitator.
What will i learn?
- Methods for temporary hair removal are identified and explained in terms of their advantages and disadvantages
- Client consultation is conducted in a polite and friendly manner to identify client hair removal needs.
- Methods to assess skin and hair type/conditions/diseases or disorders are identified and explained in terms of their advantages and disadvantages.
- Contra-indications are identified, noted and discussed with client in a tactful manner for referral purposes.
- Skin/hair disorder/diseases/conditions are recorded for referral purposes to professional where required.
- Assessment findings are recorded according to organizational requirements.
- Areas of the skin/hair growth requiring special treatment are identified and confirmed with the client in relation to the treatment plan. Hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures are undertaken to ensure maximum client safety in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
